Tomas Montenegro

Tomas Montenegro is currently a Medical Physics resident at the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Loyola University Medical Center. He obtained his Medical Physics master’s degree from the University of Minnesota in 2025, and his B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Wisconsin in 2020. He has experience in nuclear reactor operations and target design for electron accelerator-based production of radioisotopes. 

Research Interests

Tomas' current research interests include Monte Carlo simulations using MCNP for modeling Cs-131 brachytherapy seeds.
