Andrew Grice is currently a clinical medical physicist at Sutter Medical Foundation in Sacramento, CA, and a PhD student at the University of Minnesota. He completed his Therapeutic Medical Physics Residency through the University of California, Davis – Sutter Medical Foundation Affiliate program in 2026. Andrew’s research in the lab will focus on using MCNP6 Monte Carlo simulations to accurately model in vivo dose deposition for intracranial brachytherapy treatments using GammaTile. He brings a background in MCNP modeling from his time as a Radiation Monitoring Systems Engineer at Mirion Technologies, as well as broad clinical experience in both LDR and HDR brachytherapy techniques gained during his residency and his work as a Junior Physicist at GenesisCare Radiation Oncology.
Andrew is a member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine and the American Brachytherapy Society.
