Tirthraj Adhikari

Tirthraj Adhikari obtained his Master's degree in 2015 from Tribhuvan University in Nepal. After that, he completed an advanced Master's of Science in Medical Physics from the University of Trieste in Italy in 2019. He worked as a medical physicist in both Italy and Nepal until coming to the University of Minnesota as a PhD Student and research assistant in Medical Physics in 2022. 

Tirthraj is a member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine, the Nepalese Association of Medical Physicists, and Medical Physics for World Benefits.

Research Interests

My research area is motion management in advanced radiotherapy techniques such as stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy of lung lesions, imaging, quality assurance, and dosimetry. My current research focuses on the radiological protection of patients, and the public from the surgically targeted radiotherapy using Cs-131 collagen of the intracranial lesion.
